Irrigation of Kahramanmaraş Plain (9,368 hectares) by gravity and pumping. Within the scope of the 1st part of the project, three pumped irrigation facilities are in the scope of the project for the irrigation of the upper elevations of the Main Canal. The project, which has an irrigation area of 4 654 hectares within the borders of Kahramanmaraş province, includes main canals, pumping stations, water tanks, GRP, HDPE and Steel Pipelines, all kinds of electrical and mechanical equipment (valves, armatures, flow control, etc.). Kilavuzlu Irrigation First Part Construction Project was tendered by the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works and controlled by the 20th Regional Directorate of DSI.
Main Channel: KS Main Channel- 80,00 m3/sec flow capacity and 37 800 meters long GRP Pipelines: 15 650 meters, HDPE Pipelines: 115 425 meters, Steel Pipelines: 2 150 meters 3 Pumping Station is the main unit of a series of irrigation projects that will serve the Kahramanmaraş Plain after the city transition. The irrigation project delivers the rest with an initial flow rate of 100 m/s discharge capacity. 90 m/s discharge 10 km with a concrete covered trapezoidal open channel to Amik Plain. The Main Open Canal receives its water from the upper elevation of the Kilavuzlu Dam with its special water intake structure. Within the scope of the construction of 1 section in the project, there are 3 irrigation pump stations for irrigation of the upper elevations of the Kahramanmaraş Plain.
