Sivas Gemerek Kartalkaya Dam is being built on Kasımbey Stream within the borders of Gemerek Kartalkaya Village. The height of the dam from the foundation is 83 meters and the storage volume is 33.16 million m3.The body volume of Kartalkaya Dam, which was built as a rock fill type with a central clay core, is 3,326,662 m3, the crest elevation is 1310 m, and the crest length is 537.90 m. Kartalkaya Dam spillway is designed as uncontrolled type from the left side. Kartalkaya Dam spillway was designed as uncontrolled type with lateral intake on the left bank. Kartalkaya Dam Construction work was tendered by the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works for 65,295,714,00 TL and the work was started on September 27, 2016. The completion date of the roof construction is planned as 05.09.2020. The works in Sivas Kartalkaya Dam Construction work are continuing rapidly and the dam construction will be completed in 2020.
